Nature's Cure Tips for Teens

Tip #3 Consider your face a hands-free zone. Popping your zits may help get rid of pimples, but squeezing also increases the chance of scarring. Instead, use an acne treatment product with benzoyl peroxide - it works by destroying the bacteria associated with pimples so it gets rid of existing pimples and prevents future breakouts. Thumbs up!

meet the clear confidence leading man and leading lady

Kenny Jay 16,Palmetto,GA

Meet Kenny. The high school sophomore from Georgia has just as much spunk off-camera as he does in his pictures. Whatever his tactics, Kenny soared in the competition, getting the most votes of all the finalists by a landslide! And who knows how he managed, with his busy schedule. After doing track for a while, Kenny started getting into hip-hop dancing. He’s gotten pretty good, too: he does background dancing for Slip and Slide Records artists’ live performances. He even opened up for Day 26 in September, which was really exciting, but he kept his cool. Kenny also keeps busy hosting a radio talk show at blogtalkradio.com, where he interviews reality TV celebrities and asks them questions- and he’s gained a ton of fans! Plus he’s always on the computer "searching for stuff to do on the weekend," looking for ways to become a star. And we must admit the kid’s got style. He says he tries to "always dress differently," to "put on whatever he likes," claiming his style is simply "Kenny Jay." His ambition will guarantee that his future will be bright, with plans to study journalism or computer tech at college, all the while working on his career becoming a star. But first he has to get through his sweet 16 in March. Congratulations, Kenny, and reach for the stars!

Nicole Perry 18,Tuscon,AZ

Meet Nicki. After a slow start to her campaign, she ramped up her efforts and managed to beat out the competition. And it’s no wonder with those gorgeous eyes and adorable smile! But this Tuscon, AZ high school senior has brains, talent and passion to go with those looks. She loves her history classes at school so much that her must-do adventure of a lifetime involves seeing historic sites like the pyramids (as opposed to something like bungee jumping or skydiving). And she loves acting. In fact, she just got the audition package for her high school’s spring musical, The Mattress, which she’s really excited about. Nicki's even been in a music video for a local band in which she "had to hold a boy’s hand and walk across a fake bridge." She also had a blast being a movie extra and being in fashion shows, including one for Moda to raise money for AIDS research, even though they dyed her hair red and it took her 3 months to get it back to blonde! But Nicki’s also looking ahead to the future; she has plans to participate in the joint admissions program to spend two years at community college before transferring to the University of Arizona. She plans to use her prize money to help with that goal. Congratulations and good luck, Nicki!

and congrats to our runners up
