Use five adjectives to describe yourself:
Spontaneous, Funny, Creative, Intelligent and Confident.
What are you passionate about? (Tell us about a special talent/skill that you have or a cause you are active in.)
I am passionate about others following their dreams. I have been involved with my community and the youth specifically, I have always encouraged others to follow their dreams no matter how big or small. The sky is the limit and some people don't know that and it makes me want to spread that fact.
How has clear skin helped you to achieve your goals?
Confidence is something I use everyday. My dreams of going to school and having a career are always indirectly and sometimes directly related to having clear skin. Not worrying about a pimple and worrying about that Chemistry final really helps me and my attitude that has formed from my confidence helps me in interviews for lab positions and to network with professors and other students, without clear skin I wouldn't have the courage to strike up conversation with my professor after class when she has 700 other students walking around her.
What artist/song would your friends be most surprised to find on your mp3 player?
KT Tunstall - "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree". Sometimes I surprise even myself with my song choices.
What is your favorite purchase made in the last 6 months?
My favorite purchase in the last six months would definitely be the plane ticket to Costa Rica I bought for my UW exploration seminar program. I made so many friends and memories, and bad skin won't be one of those memories!
If you were handed $5,000, how would you spend it?
I would spend it on school, $5,000 could come in really handy right now... I would also use it to take some time off work and focus on school. I wish my answer was more exciting but that's my honest answer.
If a story about you was featured on the evening news, what would the headline be?
Student Discovers Solution to Bad Skin.
What is your must-do adventure of a lifetime?
Go to Paris. I must go there after hearing so much about it. I want to go eat a croissant in Paris near the Eiffel Tower.
If you were a superhero, what would be your name and super power?
My name would be SuperClear and my super would be to give other's flawless skin.
When you were 5, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a veterinarian; I love animals today still and want to help them. But when I was younger I really thought that would be a good career since I could spend my whole life around animals, things have changed though I would prefer to be around humans.
Who do you most admire?
I most admire my Mother, she is the kindest person I have ever met, she has run multiple marathons, been a business women when men predominantly we running the business world and has raised 3 wonderful children. 2 of them being identical twins, yes I put my Mother through some extra work, but I think it was worth it. She is absolutely gorgeous and is extremely giving, she volunteers countless hours and still does today doing massage for hospice patients, also, she is musically talented, you should hear her play the flute.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of getting into UW, my mother went to UW and I know she gets a big kick out of me going there but for me, I worked really hard to get into UW and it shows off 4 years of my work in high school that paid off.
What's something you'd like to change about yourself and why?
If I could change something about myself I would definitely become more efficient, I always find myself wishing I had more time in my day and I think a little scheduling might help. If I win, I will get a planner.
What reality TV show would you like to be on and why?
I would LOVE to be on any of the following: The Amazing Race, Survivor or Big Brother. But my top pick would have to be Survivor; I have been watching that show since I was 12! Every year I wait for my age to get closer to the eligibility requirement but they just lowered it so next season, I am auditioning! I would also love to travel the world on The Amazing Race but I think the challenge of being on a deserted area and surviving would be so amazing, it would put life in perspective too, some people actually do live like that, if not in worse conditions and I want to experience it. I also would love to do the challenges and see the gorgeous areas of remoteness that haven't been touched my man yet.
