- Eligibility: The Clear Confidence Face-Off is open to all legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. Employees of Nature's Cure, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and their family/household members are not eligible to enter. Entrants must be between the ages of 13 and 24 years old at the time of entry.
- How to enter:
- Use any Nature’s Cure acne treatment product: Two-Part Acne Treatment for Males, Two-Part Acne Treatment for Females, Anti-Acne Shower Kit for Male Skin, Anti-Acne Papaya Skin Care System, Body Acne Treatment Spray.
- Create an account with the Clear Confidence Face-Off site and complete all information requested.
- Complete the contest application form and upload a photo of yourself at http://clearconfidence.naturescure.com/contest/apply. Each entry should be submitted only once.
- All entries must be received by November 11, 2009 11:59 PM PST.
- Use of automated processes and devices to submit electronic entries are not permitted. The Sponsor is not responsible for any changes or effects caused to the entrant’s computer system as a result of submitting electronic entries.
- Only entries submitted via the website electronic form will be accepted. Entries submitted via any other method, including but not limited to US Postal Service, facsimile or other express delivery services will NOT be accepted. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that cannot be processed due to phone, network, electronic or computer hardware or software failure or technical failures of any kind.
- Entry must be in keeping with Sponsor's image and may not be offensive, as determined by Sponsor. Any Entry that is, in the Sponsor's sole discretion, obscene, profane, lewd, defamatory, contains any content unsuitable for broadcast, contains any third party materials, or otherwise violates or infringes (or may infringe) any copyright, trademark, logo, mark that identifies a brand or other proprietary right of any person living or deceased (including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity or portrayal in a false light) or entity, or is otherwise objectionable, will not be considered and may disqualify the Entrant. Entrants agree their Entries become the sole property of the Sponsor, who thereby has the right to publish, display, edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote and otherwise use Entries in any way they see fit. The Sponsor also has the exclusive right to use the Entries in any advertising and promotional materials (visual, print and/or electronic form) without limitation as to manner, duration or frequency of usage.
- All eligible entries and photos will be posted on the contest website, on the contest MySpace profile page and on the Nature's Cure Facebook Page.
- Entries that are not submitted in accordance with the rules will be considered invalid.
- Selection of the Finalists (5 males and 5 females): All eligible entries will be judged by the Sponsor based on the criteria outlined below. Decision of the judges is final in all matters relating to this Contest.
- Uniqueness of skill, talent, interest or aspiration
- Level of skill, talent or involvement in pursuit of future goals
- Display of confidence
- Ability to serve as role model
- Overall appeal
- Endorsements received
- Voting To Determine Winners: The 10 finalists will be posted online for public voting to determine the winners (based on the finalists who receive the most online votes), beginning on or about 2:00 p.m. PT on November 13, 2009 through 2:00 p.m. PT on December 9, 2009 (the "Voting Period") by accessing www.naturescure.com/myspace and following the voting instructions. Individuals must register with the Contest website and be between the ages of 13 and 24 years of age to vote. Individuals may vote for one male and one female finalist once per day during the Voting Period. In the event of a tie, Sponsor will make the final determination as to the winner(s). The use of robotic or automatic devices for voting is prohibited and Sponsor reserves the right to nullify all such votes and to disqualify from voting the responsible individual. By participating, entrants agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Winners will be notified by phone, email and/or mail. Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to use winners' names, likenesses and Entries for promotional and advertising purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. No information regarding Entries or judging will be disclosed.
- Prizes and Approximate Retail Values ("ARV"): Grand Prize (2): $500 cash to further their talent or special interest, inclusion in Nature’s Cure advertising, $100 of Nature’s Cure acne treatment products, feature placement on the Face-Off site and MySpace page, and exclusive information on new products and promotions at Nature’s Cure. First Prize (8): The remaining finalists will receive $50 of Nature’s Cure acne treatment products and exclusive information on new products and promotions at Nature’s Cure. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or cash equivalents are allowed except by the Sponsor who reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prize is unavailable.
- Winner Notification and Prize Restrictions: Potential Grand Prize winner will be notified by phone, email or mail and will receive his/her prize via mail within 4-6 weeks. Potential First Prize winners will be notified via email or mail and will receive their prize within 4-6 weeks. Return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and alternate determination. Taxes, if applicable, related to the prizes are the responsibility of the winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor). No responsibility or liability is assumed for damages, losses or injury resulting from acceptance or use of any prize. All other expenses and costs not expressly listed above are the winners' sole responsibility.
- General Rules: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor. All Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of Entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. The Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any human error which may occur in the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest if it (or the voting) becomes technically corrupted, and determine the winners from eligible Entries received prior to cancellation and/or by all votes received prior to cancellation. The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Web site; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in the Contest or use or redemption of any prize.
- Release: By submitting an application through the Clear Confidence Face-Off website, you hereby grant the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, licensees, and legal representatives the irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right to use, reproduce, edit, market, store, distribute, have distributed, publicly and privately display, communicate, publicly and privately perform, transmit, have transmitted, create derivative works based upon, and promote the entry (as such may be edited and modified by the Sponsor in its discretion) for editorial, commercial, promotional and all other purposes. You hereby hold the Sponsor harmless from and against any third party claim arising from use of the entry. You waive any right to inspect or approve uses of the entry or to be compensated for any such uses. You hereby represent and warrant that you have read these rules, are fully familiar with its contents and agree to be bound by them.
